Pick up a set of GT500 mufflers used if you can find them. If you end up wanting more sound you can most likely recoup your costs on a resale and pick up something else. I looked around for a couple months and found a set for $180. I was also thoroughly disappointed with the stock exhaust. GT500 is perfect for my tastes. They are quite a bit louder but are a fantastic tone.

Back to the original question, I would agree a slight change may happen over time and more noticae would be changes due to heat (cold start vs hot fully warmed up). But the changes will likely never make you satisfied with the stock setup

Yes it's true, mine is like a Toyota from inside in the begining, but now it has 20k miles and sounds like aftermarket exhaust

The GT500's are very tempting and seem to be universally loved. It would be some much easier to judge if I could hear the options in real life...
Right now, I'm leaning towards the boss side exhaust but things might change before I decide this fall (wife asked what I want for my birthday).

Boss side pipes with 3/4 plates + GT500 ABs are great, esp after break in.

Just installed the boss side exhaust on my 2014 GT (currently stock ABs). Also took the baffles out.

Jesus Christ does it sound good.

Does adding the GT500 ABs take away from the sound of the boss side exhaust for those with both?
