Decisions, Decisions
Okay so im in a bit of a pickle. I want to do start doing some exhaust modifications but dont no what to do first. Ill start this off by saying i want to hold out on a tune for a least a couple more thousand miles so i no my car isnt a dud and everything is operating correctly and what not. With that being said on my exhaust list is the quad tip borla s - type axle backs and thus the gt500 rear valance to go along with it. I definitely what to do that. However, idk what to do about the mid pipe. I'm pretty set on a H-pipe because i like that deep rumble muscle car sound. I just dont no whether i want to go with the Boss 302 side exhaust or a JBA H-pipe and therefore no side exhaust. I no the boss 302 side exhaust wont require a tune so that seems a little more attractive to me. Should i first get the borlas and rear valance first or get the boss side exhaust first? My long term goal is to eventually slap on a rousch tvs2300. Will the boss 302 h pipe and side exhaust be free flowing enough to handle the supercharger? Or will i need a better flowing Hpipe. I no kooks makes a boss 302 h pipe that the side exhaust can attach to. ANy input would be appreciated. Thanks

I'd start with the Borlas first and only add the Boss side exit setup if the Borlas aren't loud enough for you. I doubt you'd be leaving much HP on the table if you keep the stock midpipe with a TVS...unless you decide to switch to LT headers.
I'm pretty sure I am going with the Borla S axle backs and leaving the rest of the exhaust stock. But first thing is first - I have to bring my '14 home from the dealer this Saturday!

i think i may start with the borlas and the gt500 rear valance. With taht setup its going to put be back about 1k. Im not worried about the loudness really i think the borlas are going to sound great. Its just whether or not i want the boss side exhaust. Now if i go with the JBA H pipe and go ahead and install the cat deletes it comes with will this bolt right up leaving everything else stock beside the axle backs? http://www.americanmuscle.com/jba-of...013&adtype=pla

seeing that the 2.75" dual exhaust is MORE than enough to manage the flow of the itty bitty 5.0 without restriction, not really. larger diameter would hurt the scavenging effect until the car reaches well north of 700hp.

That is AWESOME and is going in my signature "the itty bitty 5.0" :thatsgoldbaby:

why the want for an x pipe now?
If only purely for sound. Honestly, you'd be better off leaving the pipes alone, removing the resonators (cost me $75 to do) and swapping your axlebacks. the other pipes are just ultimately marketing hype that doesn't do much.
I still remember this......
My Comp Cams XR281 Cammed GTO with headers, and all the supporting mods
Made 399 HP at the wheels on a 3" Flowmaster Catback...
A year later, no new mods other than a switch to a 2.5" hybrid catback with Flowmaster mufflers, and magnaflow bullets made 411rwhp. As a bonus, it was no longer annoyingly loud, and actually kinda sounded smooth.
