convertible x brace bolt ?

The brace is put there to stiffen the car up and prevent chassis flex. Convertibles, with their doors and missing tops, are really suck at being stiff, so they put that in.
If you remove the bolt, or the brace, you might find your doors don't work right, your windows don't fit, the top won't meet right, the cowl will shake... all kinds of nifty things you probably don't want to have happen, potentially.
I'd vote you get the exhaust modified to work with it. A reputable exhaust person shouldn't have any issue making that work for ya.

This is the reason I chose not to put the Boss exhaust on my vert. I have a very steep driveway apron ( scrapes chin spoiler ). As much as I'd like to have those side pipes, I couldn't bear hearing them scrape in my driveway. ( or worse, rip them off ).

First of all, my sympathy dealing with this as the Boss side exhaust is awesome.
I agree with houtex, you don't want to do anything to the brace. You ready need it in a (any) convertible.
If the brace is where it looks like, I don't see how rerouting is possible to circumvent the brace.
I could maybe see it, if the exhaust shop could somehow use the oval pipes like ate used near the outlet?
Also, if the bolt is holding the brace in, I wonder if it could be moved back a couple of inches? You could then raise the exhaust just a little bit.
Otherwise I think you're gonna have to modify the brace.

how about installing a L bracket to the side pipe welded and then bolt it to that bolt.
