Picking up my car in a few. While i have had no problems with my tranny i am looking forward to seeing if royal purple will be a positive change. Still hating typing on my new tablet.

Reviving an old thread. Just got my car back from my ford dealer. I decided to go with royal purple. Major improvement. I highly recommend this. I was having no real issues, but improvement is always a good thing.

I am going to switch to the redline MTL soon. Ive never Looked around much at the tranny when I did my MGW so I dot even know where the fill is or how hard or messy it will be.

People used to talk about AmsOil MTG but don't hear about that anymore....

How long most of you guys waited until changing out the tranny fluid and/or differential fluid? Also, any good DIY online somewhere?

I'm using Amsoil MTG just for the fact it's a heavier base than Redline MTL. Average temps here for the summer is over 100-105.

I use to use Redline MTL, but will probably be swapping to BG Syncroshift II at some point to try it out.

Any how-to's out there? I'll be honest, over never done this. Nice to read something first before tackling it. I'm sure it's pretty easy just right spaces

I 2nd that...althought I have done many tranny fluid swap, never on a mustang. I'm sure they are all about the same but it would be nice to see a good DIY before tackling this.
