Meh, maybe I was fooled into believing ~150 lbs extra weight would have made such a difference in trap speed. You don't think that having an adult passenger would slow you down that much? I mean its gotta do something to trap speed and time.

Either way back to the original point, peak power still comes well under 7600

It might make a 1-2mph difference if that... And peak power with the boss manifold is redline bc the torque doesn't fall off like the factory manifold above 6500. But the factory manifold makes a little more torque in the midrange..

Do you guys remember when this was about an intake manifold? Wow. Seriously. Lets all sack up and calm down.

You have clearly shown here in this thread you are really clueless. As I pointed out numerous times there's something wrong with your buddies dyno sheet. Dynos can be manipulated. Track times with a manual can very greatly with driver error. But the trap speed doesn't lie. His trap speed is very low for those numbers, no matter how hefty he is.

The problem is the original poster was looking for HONEST feedback on a part. When someone doesn't give honest feedback, they get called out.

Good job turning that back around on me, that must have taken a lot of brain power to give the response of a 6th grader lol

Like I said I was fooled into believing that, guess that's never happened to you Scott

I originally asked the question about the Boss 302 Intake Manifold on a 2013 GT.
I have a 3.73 rear and a 6 Speed manual. I neglected to clearly mention these two features in my initial write up.

My mods are going to be a JLT 107mm CAI and a good performance tune. No other mods and the car will never be taken to the track.. Several people have mentioned a Boss 302 Intake as a consideration. From my research and from this discussion it looks like it would be a waste on this car. I would not risk this motor by driving above 7000 rpm.

Any thoughts on this?

I have 6spd manual with 3.31's it's a little softer down low with the Boss Intake. But top end more than makes up for it. You have 3.73's you might not feel the loss down low with the gears. If you go Boss intake the CAI you get won't work. If you have the factory strut bar, it won't work either. Performance wise, I think you could get more Out of other mods. But if you plan on showing your car, it definitely looks awesome under the hood.

This is what I was thinking.

Then this mod is not for you. If you don't have a good tune that is a good place to start.

Yeah unless you spend a lot of time over 6500 rpms, its not going to help you unless you want it just for looks.
