Bob's Ultimate oil separator on 5.0 firewall
Here is another oil separator option for the GT and Boss 302, and now it's available in white or "Grabber" Blue from Bob's Auto Sports. http://shop.bobsautosports.com/Catch...rators_c13.htm

Meh ... I prefer the short-hose look of the JLT unit ... not having those hoses go all the way to the firewall and back, all over the side of the engine like that.
We go through the trouble of removing the sound tube from the driver side to clean-up the look under the hood and then we're supposed to install these hoses on the passenger side?
I don't think so. No thank you. Not for me.

So does the JLT and it doesn't have the huge hoses all over the side of the engine.
I'm no big JLT puppet but I like the factory-style tube they provide with their catch can and how compact the whole set-up is.

So do I. Alot.
I can't link to the specific kit because it isn't currently listed on the website. My invoice description reads "Ultimate 5.0 - straight fittings, black, firewall mount, black fittings". You can e-mail Steve @ Steven@bobsautosports.com for details.

And I wanted a solid mounted catch can on the firewall in black with a bottom drain valve, Russell ProClassic hose, black AN fittings and heat shrink hose clamps. Looks like we're both happy with what we bought. Also looks like we started out with the same options on our cars except mine is spoiler delete. I have Steeda Sports and Koni Sports too but have yet to install them.

The purpose of it going to the firewall, well at least what I speculate is the reason, is so that it is actually mounted somewhere in the engine bay rather than just dangling by the hoses like the JLT. The JLT tubes are plastic and they have broken before, which is not something you want to happen when driving on the street or, even worse, a track (loss of vacuum assist on the brakes).

Firewall mount looks great, and rest assured that every vapor of oily blow by will be captured in Bob's separator. Sure, JLT is simple to install and looks 'clean', but Bob's separator simply outperforms JLTs.

Does it come with the hose and connections to mount on the firewall?,on the sight it just shows it mounted near the shock tower. And is it the expensive or cheaper one?

That Ultimate 5.0 kit ($199.) that mounts to the shock tower was just recently introduced and apparently is not currently compatible with the OEM strut tower brace. My kit was not cataloged and you should contact Bob's Auto Sports for more information as I indicated in post #9 of this thread. Steve provided what I wanted even though it was not a cataloged item.
