Btw I installed an mgw 2 weeks ago, and at first it sucked hard going into reverse, 1st or 2nd. Then I found out about the adjustment. It took 10 minutes to adjust it out and it was a winter night and summer day difference. Especially being able to slam into second.... all my car does is spin and turn sideways. I need rubber now

What adjustment are you referring to? Are you referring to removing the spring return pin taht goes at the top and bottom of the spring (removing the one that goes in the shifter base)?

No, adjusting the pin that contacts the reverse lockout. Mine was way off

So you just keep adjusting it until it goes in to reverse smoothly?

No, you adjust it until you can't get it into 1st or 2nd. Then back it off a rotation. Mine was so far out that putting it into 1st was trying to jam it inbetween reverse and 1st. You do this before you pull the boot up to the gold piece.

Interesting. Mine was perfect from the get-go. Never had to (still haven't) adjust anything.

The street bushing material, is that standard now? I dont see any reference on their website about either.

UPDATE: I pulled the center console up to take a peek at the MGW assembly this afternoon(55 degrees out)... I found my initial 2nd/4th gear self-disengaging issue. The dust boot was not fully seated and bunched up at the rear of shifter. Corrected the issue. Wow! What more can I say. Shifter is smooth, like stock, with positive engagement. NVH seems no different than stock with the updated Street/Race Rear Bracket(Street Bushing installed).
