I agree with Frank. Are you looking to tune now or possibly later? Air Raid has one of the best from what I've read. I spoke to Bama a while back when I was on the fence and that one has some of the highest gains with and without tune. I've had a K&N and didn't notice much. Once I added Bama tune it was night and day. I then added the JLT, and it was a whole new animal. Like most say, it's in the tune. I'm a Roush guy, but I wouldn't waste my money on that one. If you're not going to tune then K&N or AirRaid is your best route. I have a K&N drop in if you're interested, probably 500 miles on it.

So far my best time has come with stock air box and filter element and sct tune. Steeda did not help my car but Im sure others have gone quicker with it than stock airbox. Pm me for price for steeda cold air with about a 1000 miles use. It is for a6 car. Will be trying other tunes in the near future.

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone can tell me what is the difference between the stock CAI air filter housing for the 2010+, vs the 05-09 air filter housing. How is the air filter housing different that they were able to call it a CAI? What changes did they make? I'm curious if my 09 can be easily adapted or not.

That is not a characteristic of the Steeda CAI with tune. All of our cars with the installed CAI and tune see a considerable gain. Can you elaborate or provide us with more information regarding your install?

But seriously... In my experience: I had the Ford Racing Pro-Cal with K&N filter put in a while back and I noticed improved throttle response and it got rid of that stupid skip shift. I wanted something more aggressive shortly afterward and bought a Steeda CAI and tune and I couldn't be more pleased. I personally say don't waste the money the first time around like I did, just go ahead and get a JLT or Steeda CAI w/ a tune. Let your car breathe!

Maybe Gus can chime in on this one, all i know is i haven't had one single problem with any of their tunes. I even got a "less agressive" 93 tune at the time when those #8 issues were poppping up.

Ran the car on same day started with stock airbox and filter and went 12.14, sct 93 octane tune, installed steeda cold air with sct tune for steeda cold air and ran 12.16,then used the steeda tune and went 12.159. Time between 1st and last run was about 75 minutes. Car is an a6. Trap speeds were also very close. Never dynoed the car so I cant give any figures to show if track times reflect any gain or loss.
