There are members on here and other sites that say they are running 285 35,s with no problems, and thats on lowered cars.I,m ready for new tires and wanted to go slightly wider unless there is going to be any problems naturally. On the tire calculater the 275 and 285,s are a smaller overall diameter than the stock 255,s so i dont see a problem.I want to get it first hand from someone using or who has atempted using these sizes.BTW thats 35,s on the 275 285,s.Ms. Danielle, was that nope meaning they will or wont fit with no problems?

I,m not worried about the rear,i can run a 40 series on the back, its the front i want to not worry about.Dont want to go with a 285 35 as i think its to wide for the 9 inch wheel even though it would fit, dont want a stretched look.

I,m so glad you have responded G! Every single tire dealer i have spoke to,the tire rack, direct tire,Mavis tire, tire direct ,etc.,etc. all told me the same exact thing. That a 285 35 will not fit the 9 inch Brembo wheel and 275 40,s will rub the front and can only be used in the rear.I have a basically stock suspension,55D rear springs,Roush uca,FRPP lca,and was thinking about going with 275,s,i figure the 40,s would ride a little better than the 35 side wall but was told by the experts not to up front.

I think maybe i,ll go 275 35 all around just to play safe, according to the tire calculater the 35 series tire is actually smaller in diameter than the stock 255 40 tire so i dont see any issue with up and down rubbing even when the wheel is turned most of the way which shouldnt happen anyway when driving faster than driveway speeds, and there should be lots of room width wise.
