2014 GT Track Pack tranny whine/clunk

So curious if any others with the 2014 Mustang w/Track Pack have noticed any whine from transmission at lower speeds. Seems to go away if I give it some gas but since I do a lot of city driving it's noticeable pulling away from stop signs and such. Also I notice a definite "clunk" sound when engaging the clutch but from some threads on here that sounds normal?
Overall I LOVE this car and since adding the MGW shifter it's even better... the low speed gear whine just seems a bit weird as does the clunk. Thoughts?

Does the whining noise get louder if you put forward pressure on the shifter while in first gear?

Hi golffanatic777,

I'm Crystal, I'll be keeping an eye on the forum while Deysha is out of the office. Since you're concerned about these noises, it wouldn't hurt to bring them to the attention of your dealership. How many miles do you have on it?

Crystal

Clunk might be the Diff engaging if the tolerances back there are off. The whining might be gear whine. I noticed that in my Boss after I took out sound deadening material in the trunk along with everything else and no rear seat. But it's not until I'm 60+ mph. Seems a little off that your hearing it.

Hi Crystal...I have only close to 9k on the car right now. I was going to wait until my next oil change at 12k or so but not sure if this is serious or really a problem at all. I had an oil change done using the quick lane a few hundred miles ago, mentioned the issue and they just said bring it up next time I was in.

Thanks for responding, golffanatic777. Be sure to come back and tell us how things go when you have this addressed. I'm here if you need me to step in and help after getting a diagnosis.
