Today I ordered the JLT CAI for the Whipple and the 9psi 3.375" pulley.
That gives me everything I really need to get this installed, but I still want to get a couple of gauges, at least a/f ratio, before I get it done.

Gabe you said you have 275 40 18 tires all the way around? I have the 19" version of your rim and am wanting to get a square setup as far as tires go. If you reach behind your front tire at the top there is something that sticks out right near the tire. How much clearance do you have from that? I can't remember what it is and I don't want to take my wheel off to tell but just curious. I know there is very little room and wondering if you did anything to help that. Why didn't you go with DW instead of DWS? Are you having any issues with traction shifting into 2nd or 3rd at WOT?

The continental DWS is all-season, which I wanted.
No traction issues. Yet.

Are you 100% sure with that tire size? I have read that 275 is the max but would rather run larger tires

There's lots of cars out there with the 19x9 Brembo wheels running 285/35 rear tires. They bulge a bit but that would lessen with an extra half-inch of wheel width

Lol ... it's in the process of being painted Sterling Gray to match the car
Here it is primed:
Wet paint (bad cell pic):
And as it sits:
Still need to clear it. It's been stupid-cold around here, can't vent the house after spray-painting ... will get it done this week hopefully

Sounds good. That is going to look really nice Gabe.
And props to you for getting your hands dirty too. Lots of mustang owners nowadays would have taken it to a shop

Thanks man ... I'm looking forward to having it installed. I've never liked that hump / faux gas cap area ... hence why it's currently Plasti-Dipped, lol

I have a base model without the brembo package as well so I'm not sure if different wheels would fit on a brembo car instead of a base car. Sorry for thread jacking. You were the closet person I could find with real knowledge.

Brembo Wheels are 19x9 ET42, The GT500 wheels are 19x9.5 ET45. Not sure how much it affects the width. I'd guess 3mm for the ET plus 5mm for the .5".

There's more room to go wider for me on my 9.5"-wide ET45 wheels.
This is what it looks like with my 275/40/18 tires:

Thanks guys .... I just got done straightening out the tips so now they look "proper" lol. Took the car out last night and man, do these things bellow out some sound when you get on it, holy crap, I couldn't get enough! My girlfriend was laughing at me cuz I was grinning and giggling like a school girl on prom night, her words exactly, Lmao! Tips all straightened out ... yes the car is filthy ... it's gonna rain here in a day or 2, not washing it yet ...

Thanks buddy. Yes, the decklid panel is Plasti-Dipped, the 5.0 is a sticker in flat-black

[QUOTE=Gabe;6740664]If you don't have the Brembos, no problem, just means that you can fit more wheel choices.

Thank you for your help. For the exact same look I would need a 275/35/19 tire according to the miata.net calculator. I am more worried about that part that is inside of the front tire on the car that seems to stick out right where the upper middle of the sidewall is. I will have to take my wheel off to figure out if it can budge or anything though and if it can I will go with the 285. I have a feeling it is the thing that reads the tire pressure or something else important. At least I know now that the 275's will fit. If i do in fact go with the 285's and they don't work out I can just order some slightly smaller ones for the front and have some fun .
