There is absolutely nothing wrong with celebrating your car's birthday! I definitely celebrate the anniversary of buying my current '65 each 13 February, and I believe thousands of us will be celebrating the 50th birthday of the Mustang around this time next year!

Outside of the people in our lives, we spend more quality time with our car than with almost any other possession we own...

It's not a birthday, it's an anniversary. It's the 50th anniversary model, not 50th birthday model.

You say tomato, I say French Fries (because I don't really like tomatoes)... It is perfectly normal for a grown man to talk to his car (and give it an extra thorough detailing it every 13 February)- that's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

Just as long as I don't forget to treat the significant other even more special on the following day, its all good!

Hi Sakol, I removed the door panels from the car, shot the inserts with adhesion promoter and then the color coat and then sealed with Color Bond clear. ColorBond makes a ton of vinyl dye in factory colors but, I wanted the console and trim to all matched so, I used a graphite lacquer paint which has held up for almost two years like the day they were shot. Same was true for the rear speaker area so they matched all around. The tribar ponies are the '94-'03 fender badges and are held on by the double sided automotive grade tape.

Thx for the info. I've got it on my To Do list. Great looking car again mister. May you have many more birthdays/anniversaries in your future.
