Hard to believe but April 15th will be 1 year! There have been so many modification that this Base Rapid Spec 100 (cloth seats, plain charcoal interior, etc) to become MY unique car Originally I was going to buy a 50th Anniversary Edition (had a 40th) but when they "discontinued" Sterling Grey I did a nation wide search for what could be argued as the last 2011 Sterling Grey V6 Convertible with a 6 speed stick - it was SO WORTH IT! American Muscle Forever!!!

 

Yea that first year does go by quick... Oct will be 2 years for my 2011

 

Yes, indeed - time flys when your are having fun and I have been having lots of fun with this car. Here are some Ugly Baby Pictures for comparison. Glad I did the majority of the mods upfronts so I can enjoy them longer! Now all that I have on the "bucket list" for the car are Starkey Fog Light kit and AMR Charcoal wheels and tires but, that will wait till these wear out.

Thanks for the compliments! Yes, I went to Fabulous Fords Forever and started looking at used 2011s. I wanted Sterling Grey but could only find automatics. I did see this car in Woodland Hills but did not pay much attention to it because it was a base mode. Even Ford could not find a single Premium V6 Sterling Grey convertible with a stick. I almost gave up hope until I found a Black base model in El Cajon and after driving it, my mind was made up. I contacted Vista Ford in Woodland Hills on Wednesday, negotiated the price and trade, and drove up to pick it up that Friday! It was one of my best decisions and doing the modifications I am still about $2K less than if I had started with a Premium Trim and it is just the way I want it! Like a fresh canvas - my project car has been a blast and I just love getting behind that GT500 steering wheel every morning!

 

That I'm sure is fun, driving the car that you have worked hard doing.

 

Thanks Liza! Do you have a Sterling Grey? I just love this color and the silver stripes are a great contrast as are black stripes I just installed the Starkey Products Fog Lights and they look and work great! Next big mod are 19" AMR wheels and tires but still a year out from that. Every new mod makes me feel like I just bought a new car These cars are so much fun to drive and personalize - Happy modding!
