Just turned 2000 miles. This car is awesome. I stopped @ Advance Auto Parts for some cleaning supplies & ended up talking to peeps in the parking lot for over half an hour about the car.

Lots of positive feedback everywhere I go. Even though I park at the far end of the lot, people park out close to it to check it out.

After two 12 hour stints behind the wheel, I must say that this is the most comfortable Mustang I've ever owned.

For the price, it would have been nice to have memory settings. The dash comes back far enough that I have to move the seat back to get out and move the seat forward to get the clutch to the floor.

The clutch should engage/disengage before you get it to the floor... try that out before messing with the seat everytime.

Apparently the 2014s will have heated seats now but not in the Recaro package

I love this car. The GTCS is one of the 2 cars that provided inspiration for me to get white instead of black.

Unless we just "go for it," we'll probably go with this and call it phase 1. Remove the blue stripes from the front and the back; leaving them on the hood & trunk. Put some 19" or 20" CS wheels. Not too popular but we like them.

If we go for it, we'll go with one of these two options:

I'd say if you're stuck on those wheels (which I do like), stay with the blue stripes and keep it a classic Shelby looking car. If you want the black stripes, go no SVT cutout and keep the factory wheels - they're my new favorite factory Ford wheel.

I say no stripes at all. SVT and stripes shouldn't be together. Black on the hood and trunk I don't like either. None of the SVT cars that I can remember came with any stripes or 2 tone schemes until they wore Shelby badging. All I'm seeing is a customized Shelby here and not a SVT cobra. Hell it's even got some boss cues to it now.

When we get the CS wheels, I'll PM you. I'm not too interested in keeping the classic Shelby look; I'm looking to make it different than anything else out there.

OK... so I've decided to keep the white w/ sonic blue stripes for a while. We also decided to get the Alcoa Shelby 50th anniversary wheels. Can't wait to get these on the car. But, since winter in Chicago is pretty long, they'll wait until late March before they see the car.

After that, I think we're done with this car for a while.

Jealous that you found Alcoa's. love to see some pictures when they are on. Are you keeping your stock wheels?

I wasn't going to keep them until I saw the special "Barret Jackson" all white GT500 that they are auctioning off this Friday. I probably will sell them with both sets of tires:
Continental DWS
Goodyear F1

There are 2 people that have voiced interest in them. If you're interested, let me know. The first one with the cash gets the goodies. As soon as the new wheels / tires come in that is.

Good deal. I will keep my eyes open for your for sale thread. Interested in those wheels and DWS. It will depend on a couple things as the time gets here. Look forward to seeing the Alcoa's.

The Alcoas arrived today. Can't wait to unbox them to make sure they're not damaged.

HA...! Me too. After buying the wheels & new tires, the car fund is at $0 for the year.

(maybe)
