Actually I hadn't reattached it yet, I had just finished putting the front bumper back on, the bolts are in because I tend to lose them if I don't put them back in the hole. Thanks for looking out though.

Just because you and the bank bought it, doesn't mean it's right.

Those grills look great on your car! We almost ordered ours as a black car but the wife said we don't really need 2 black Mustangs, or whatever we're suppose to call them!

The GT500 has been built by Ford throughout its lifetime minus one year. The Cobra emblem doesn't have anything to do with the car itself, you know that, right? THE GT500 IS NOT A COBRA you're confused. It's like watching a train wreck about to happen, happen.
The next thing you know we'll learn that the COBRA 2 was just a Ford Pinto in a party dress.

In September 1967, production was moved to the A.O. Smith Company of Ionia, Michigan, under Ford control. Not built at Ford. The 65 & 66 cars were built at Shelby's facilities.

Right... I guess all those snakes got on the cars by accident.

And now back to our build thread. Thanks again for stopping by.

Haha, no need to, because you probably couldn't tell if I did anyways!

But about this car, it'll be better in his own mind.

Btw, what's your favorite color? Doesn't matter, it's going to be the wrong answer LOL

You're still confused, but that's okay, at least it's only a convertible.

I'll tell you what. Jump outta my build thread and start your own thread about Carroll Shelby and the history of the Shelby cars. I'm sure it will be an interesting read.

Umm, yeah. Not everyone has to finance a GT500. You should talk to your union rep, hes let you down if you don't have the money to walk off the lot with it free and clear.

Lmao.
I agree with what Gary said. The GT500 follows the heritage of Shelby mustangs. A little over done on styling (IMO). The biggest baddest motor available. Never the best performers but all the potential. It was never a common man's mustang. Usually left most mustang guys jealous. The 2013 still holds this true.

In the 60's and 70's there were options to order stripped models with the bigger engines though. Really wish we had that option now.

Until you have to buy a condenser or a heat exchanger, or a radiator when a rock gets slung thought it out on the road. But I'm sure they are cheap.

LOL.

I think the op car is gonna look great, if the plans are to de-shelby it that go for it! I just dont like a legend being bashed for having his name on the car when everyone says he had nothing to do with the car. If all of us got paid royaltys for each one sold because our names were on the car we wouldnt be complaining then. Call it a mustang, call it a cobra, call it a shelby.... Its your car! Call it what you want!!

To be clear, I'm a big fan of Carroll Shelby; always have been since I was knee high to a gopher. My intention is not to disrespect him in any way.

My plans for the car are like most people's who buy Mustangs, to personalize it and make it look different than how it was delivered, as a Shelby.
