Those grills look great on your car! We almost ordered ours as a black car but the wife said we don't really need 2 black Mustangs, or whatever we're suppose to call them!

I think you missed the lesson. The lesson is that FORD not Shelby has built the GT500 since 1968. The first GT500's, the 67's, were the only ones built at Shelby's facilities in L.A.. The GT500 has been built by Ford throughout its lifetime minus one year. The Cobra emblem doesn't have anything to do with the car itself, you know that, right? THE GT500 IS NOT A COBRA you're confused. It's like watching a train wreck about to happen, happen.

But about this car, it'll be better in his own mind.
Btw, what's your favorite color? Doesn't matter, it's going to be the wrong answer LOL

One thing for certain. NO MUSTANG OFF THE LOT IS PERFECT.
Stock is for old people and pussies.
Strip em. Build em. Do whatever you want.

I agree with what Gary said. The GT500 follows the heritage of Shelby mustangs. A little over done on styling (IMO). The biggest baddest motor available. Never the best performers but all the potential. It was never a common man's mustang. Usually left most mustang guys jealous. The 2013 still holds this true.
In the 60's and 70's there were options to order stripped models with the bigger engines though. Really wish we had that option now.

I think the op car is gonna look great, if the plans are to de-shelby it that go for it! I just dont like a legend being bashed for having his name on the car when everyone says he had nothing to do with the car. If all of us got paid royaltys for each one sold because our names were on the car we wouldnt be complaining then. Call it a mustang, call it a cobra, call it a shelby.... Its your car! Call it what you want!!

My plans for the car are like most people's who buy Mustangs, to personalize it and make it look different than how it was delivered, as a Shelby.
