She's pretty oblivious. Also completely uninterested!

I wonder where this idea came from?
I'm looking forward to seeing if those brackets hold up!
I wonder if the leverage would work them selfs loose on the track.
I'm sure they would be fine for the average street driver, but I'm afraid they might not hold up well for the hard track driving you do.
Just my two cents, with out seeing the product first hand.

Make sure to check them after each session on the track, just don't want you to have a issue!

Yup I'll be checking. Couple boss guys have run them least with no issues. I loctited the bracket to OEM bracket bolts so I'm expecting no movement. But I'm going to watch the thermal expansion differences as the brackets are Al and the bolts and such are steel. We'll see. Looks good tho.

If they work fine for you I might get those brackets just for ease of installation!
Keep us posted

I'll have them out at Limerock in just over a week and then out for 2 days at Watkins Glen on June 1st and 2nd. So I'll do some "torture testing" soon!!

Loving how they look though. So much more appropriate for the car in my opinion!

I agree that's the way it should come from the factory on the Track Pack cars!

Looks great!

A little off topic, but I was curious if you ever run the Castrol Edge oil through Blackstone Labs. I just got some, and I remembered you were using it and planning on running analysis on it.

Also curious how well the rear brake brackets hold up. I'm guessing you had to use Blue locktite on the bolts?

I'll post more on the brackets as I get some track time on them. I used some locktite that was leftover from work.

Yes, I ran Castrol Edge 5w50 last year, but when I brought the Mustang for it's most recent free oil change, I forgot to ask them to save me a sample!!

That said, I have 15 or so more quarts at home that will go in a bit later this summer once I feel I need to replace the Motorcraft 5w50 oil. I think I'm out of free oil changes, so I'll be doing them myself from now on and will be running oil analyses.

Thinking I'll let the Motorcraft get about 600 track miles on it before changing based on the test I did on it last summer. Seemed to start breaking down at that point. So the Castrol should be going in mid-June. I'll probably let it go about 1000 track miles, which should get me to about September I think. Definitely will run analysis at that point!

Lets just say there is no way I'm putting those brackets on my car until they survive a year on yours I call this approach "community durability testing" It helps that you're an engineer too I'm more trusting of my own kin

One track day completed and the setup worked very nicely. Strong braking, no fade, and no issues.

More testing this coming Thursday at another track. Can't wait

Another highly successful day with the car at the track. Brakes were strong all day and I was pushing quite a bit more this time out.

Little video footage thanks to a friend taping during the last session of the day!
