As I presented, I traded in a 2001 C5 vette for a 2013 v6 mustang. I find the Mustang a different car than the vette. Was finding the Vette too expensive to maintain. Also parts were getting hard to find.
That being said the Vette was an incredible car to drive. powerful and handled exceptionally well. Held the road with those huge tires.
I'm at an age where I had my fun with the Vette but wanted a sporty car that was easier to maintain. The Mustang drives well, if you don't try to push the curves too hard. It is comfortable and quiet. I liked the gauges and Heads Up Display on the Vette. Also liked the sport seat in the vette with the six adjustments, including side bolsters and two level of back supports. Memory seat was convenient also. The auto headlights were a pain because they had to pop up to turn on. I disabled the twilight controls.
I love the Ford SYNC and GPS system. That and SIRIUS provide all the bells and whistles I could want. As far as power, 305 horses is plenty for me right now. I am thoroughly enjoying the Mustang. Not afraid to use it, don't worry about where I park it like i did with the Vette. Also the Vette was so low that I had to constantly worry about hitting the air dams and even the radiator support bar. No worries with the Mustang.
I like the retro styling of the Mustang also. Not fond of the C6 or C7 designs. I know they excel mechanically, but I feel the C5 still had the classic Corvette style, and curves. Just My Opinion.
