I've watched some videos and read some install write-ups on it, seems quite straight-forward, aside from the tight spaces which will no doubt be frustrating. I'll tackle it myself and see what happens. Seems to me the hardest part will be working the retaining clips out and back in, particularly on the tranny side where there's no room. Other than that, it's just spending an afternoon in the driver's seat pumping the clutch and drinking a couple beers. We're Canadian. That's our wheelhouse bro.

Cervini's GT500 style front splitter and Roush side splitters are on...









The install and fit on the Roush splitters is flawless (as you'd expect). The Cervini's lip is "good". I wouldn't call it a perfect fit, there's a few spots where it doesn't line up perfectly, but it does look good and in person it means-up the front end a lot. Still waiting on my Steeda shocks/struts so I can get to work on the suspension, but in the meantime I've still gotta dive into the Boss diffuser, and then the body stuff is done.

I also got the fully unfinished lip, so it was white plastic. I sprayed it down with matte black Krylon Dual, and went over that with Plasti-dip Smoke finish so it has a bit of a finish to it somewhere between matte and satin. Worked out pretty nice.

What do you mean the boss 302 valance could be better? can you post a straight front and rear picture. I am looking for a front lip spoiler and the Boss valance.

 

I'll get some shots when it stops raining, but that "could be better" refers more to my skills than the product itself.

 

I'm not sure, to be honest. I more got it because I really prefer the Boss/CS rear bumper look but if there is some minor aero benefit that's a bonus. Just didn't like the wall of black on the back of the car. This works really well with the MMD decklid panel to break up all the shiny black and add a little visual depth.

 

Here we go, Dark Stainless AMR's, 19x8.5 and 19x10, stock 255/40/19 PZero's in front and 275/40/19 PZero Rosso's in back, suspension still stock.

Those wheels look amazing!

 

They look great in person, though I actually think a 19" front, 20" rear would work REALLY well with these, if somebody's feeling daring.

 

You've got them on my list. Definitely in the top 5. Do they change color much in the light? They seem to resemble black chrome to a certain extent.

 

They don't seem to have as much color shift as the SVE's, but there is some of that going on. I'd say they're closer to a hyper black than black chrome. You don't get the prism-type effect of black chrome.

 

I've had to call an audible on my suspension build. I just couldn't get information from Steeda on where my shocks/struts were at. I called this morning, and they're "hoping" for mid-May, so I cancelled my order.

AM is getting my business once again on some STR.T's. They've got the fronts in stock, rear shocks are backordered, but only 1-2 weeks, and AM is excellent on communicating backorder status, as I've ordered backordered stuff several times from them. And if I can at least get the fronts, I can get everything together and do the rears whenever I get them. Still not ideal, but at least it's not a "maybe".

 

just read through your whole build. very good. i have a black 14 and just put some CS40 wheels on it and it is lowered on sportlines.

Car is looking great - I have liked my STR.T's, although I've just about "outgrown" them now... I hope you get yours quickly! They make the car much more fun to drive.

Have you checked Tirerack for availability? What about Amazon? The Koni sale should be going on everywhere...

 

The springs, front struts/mounts, PHB and bump stops are now all in. So far, VERY happy. The ride quality almost feels better on the initial drive. It's firmer, but much more controlled. I installed the GT500's with the arrow pointing out (normal way) and have no pulling or tramlining at this point. PHB only took a couple turns from the stock setting to line up the rear, but I just did a quickie in anticipation of the springs settling.

Still waiting on AM to get the rear shocks to me. Not worried because unlike Steeda, they send weekly updates. I've checked everywhere, and the rears are backordered roughly the same everywhere. It's now stretched out to the end of May, which is the same timeline I've got from TireRack and other places, so I'll leave it be.

As for comments regarding install, I've done MacPherson struts/springs before, but this was my first crack at a LRA rear end. Unreal how simple it is to work on. Space to work!! So simple.

I'll get some pics up in a few days but I was losing light, and it's supposed to rain the next couple.

EDIT: Haven't installed the control arms yet. May wait until I have to pull stuff apart again to do the shocks. Wanted to get the most basic lowering stuff done first, and build from there so I could experience the differences step by step.

Also, I used Monroe 63620 strut dust boots, for those looking for some of those so you don't have to take apart your stock stuff just to get a stupid piece of accordion rubber.

 

Your car is looking great as always. Nice job on the rear valance. Looks fantastic. How do you like the front spoiler? I am debating the kind you got the Roush or the Boss 302.
