Chatted with Jamal and Jim Owens today. I asked "I am debating a Shelby with the performance Pack. Will the ride be stiffer than a Shelby without the Performance Pack?"

Jamal Hameedi: "SVT-engineered Bilstein suspension on comfort mode will offer a nice ride!"

I asked: "How crucial will the new Track Pack on the Shelby be if I will track the Shelby only a few times in it's lifetime?"

Jamal Hameedi: "if you're an accomplished driver and you track your GT500 you'll definitely want the track pack."

Just have a shop swap in a 6r80 from a 5.0 for you. Shouldn't be more than 3k to that. And don't complain because this is your only other option. An extra 3k is chump change if you are intent on having a GT500.

Sure, nothing like voiding the warranty on a new $60K+ car.

I guess since I went and got my '12 last week. I would have to take myself out of the running for a '13. I just couldn't pass up the deal I got.

I agree. Why Funk with the perfection of the car? If you really want an auto, you shouldn't be buying this car. get a German car. IMO a stick is the only way to go for a sports car.

Aside from a resonator delete and clear hood bra, I'm not changing this car.

Well, I hope they use their heads when they price it. It better list at or less then the LT1. That means a base of 55K or less. The sales numbers don't lie.....

LT1 was a fuel injected small block 350 that GM installed in lots of vehicles in the '90s from Corvettes to my '96 Buick Roadmaster (man I miss that car).
