Cool

So some Shelby Mustangs have some flaws, but at least Shelby pushes the performance envelope and produces a complete high performance package. The big question is; what will Sheby debut at the Detroit Auto Show ? So far , most appear to think it will be a Mustang with twin turbos !

Shelby has lacked the ability to put that power to the ground with wider wheels.

Whoa, stop the presses. Now I am hearing Shelby will unveil three limited production 50 th anniversary Mustangs at the Detroit Auto Show. Now what will he unveil ? GT350 ? Super Snake GT500 ? GT500 KR ? Something else ?

Why just $60,000? Why not make it $100,000?

This is getting beyond ridiculous.

I've had my say. I won't beat a dead horse anymore.

Ahem. Does not include base vehicle (shelby) which will cost almost $60k. So $120k is where its gonna end up. **** Shelby in his old ***.

Wow, 60000 dollars. The performance enhancements appear to be about the same as before. The 50 th anniversary Shelby Mustangs appear to be limited production Mustangs with special paint. I wonder who will be able to afford one of those. They appear a bit pricey to me.

And people were saying that the additional cost for the Shelby branded stuff was worth it, not only a couple pages ago...

I realize his name means a lot for what he did back in the day. Unfortunately it is now also associated with overpriced FRPP kits and tacky cosmetic changes.

You guys don't think Ford parts are overpriced. You're F'ING CRAZY. I paid 400.00 for 2012 visors. 42.00 for a two foot long 3-wire wiring assembly. 20.00 for 2 plastic screw covers. I've given a HELL OF A LOT more to Ford than Shelby. Hell I've given more to Ford for the 8 blown heater cores i had to buy for my 96. I think you guys are forgetting how expensive Ford parts are. Shelby's parts may be expensive but they're extras and not necessary for the car to run but, the overpriced parts I have to buy from Ford if something breaks is a different story. :quitur*****in:

Really 10x? Those hood pins are 94.95 from Shelby so, you could buy billet hood pins for 9.49 somewhere? Come on now.

Just because your decision making with regard to shopping for Ford parts is poor doesn't somehow make spending $60,000 for the latest Shelby 'package' that only cost 1/4 of that in parts, any better.

$400 for 2012 GT500 visors? Ford's own parts database shows I can get them with either an Arabic or Spanish label (For G0d's sake) for just over $100 each, and that's retail.

WRONGO!!! That's 107.00 for the regular visor. Look again it's 300.00 for the garage door opener driver side visor and 107.00 for the passenger side.

Everyone pulls that hood out of their butt and yes, a 60k package is insane but it's not for you, it's for the person who doesn't care how much it is.

Yep.....I bet they'll sell the lot. Sure, for me it's an insane amount of money and offers a poor return, but for those with (very) deep pockets, it's just the latest toy to add to the collection.
