Shelby CS1 Wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tires
I like the 888's. I came from Nitto NT555s and the 888s up front are night-and-day different. I also replaced 555R's on the back, and I get more traction with the 888s hot or cold.
Good to know! Cold traction is null...dang summer compound tires! Now with the colder temps I'm always afraid I going to give it too much gas on a on-ramp and whip a cookie.
Well, cold traction is relative. It's better with the 888's than with the Nitto's, but I still wouldn't call it "good."
With the 555R's, if they weren't warm it was like driving on marbles. The 888's are more stable, but if you goose the throttle before they're warm, you'll still lose the rear end.
