Heated Seats on 2011 GT500?

Looks like at leasst one of the 2011 GT500s on display in Chicago with the SVT PP have heated seats. I know these are not an option for the GT500...just found it curious.

Looks like it is the Black GT500 with red stripes and SVTPP that has heated seats (at the Chicago Show). From everything I have seen and read heated seats are not an option this year on the GT500.

It could very well be that since this is a show car they installed the wrong panel with the heated seats buttons in it.

At first I was bummed as I do love the heated seats in my MKX.. Well the wife does.. I prefer the cooling seat option when she turns the car into a sauna.

But I realized, the Shelby isn't going to be out in weather where I'd "need" bun warmers... Plus aren't they an extra 20lbs per seat or something rediculous?!?!

I can tell you I love the bun warmers in my g8 right now. I shouldn't complain but the 30s and lower is cold for FL, especially with the wind we have been getting, not to mention it has been that cold for almost two months whereas we usually get it 2 days a year. The hp it makes at sea level is great

G8 seat heaters are awesome. The ones in 07-10 Mustangs are single setting and suck.

It would be nice if Ford used that second button by the seat warmer button for a second setting

So is the general consensus that the GT500 show car that has heated seats is a fluke and that the 2011 GT500s that we have on order will not be getting them?

You are correct sir! I can't find heated seated mentioned anywhere for the 500, which never had them before, so I doubt now, especially on the SVT PP car. I think somone slapped the wrong plate on there, or they put heated seats in the press car.

Or it could be a Canada option with high performance Blizzaks in place of the GY's!
Sorry, couldn't help myself...

Anyone added heated seats to their 2010 GT500? I'd consider doing this if the mod was relatively easy.

It's a pain in the ***. Remember that the seat is different all on its own. I believe KC can get you everything you need though,.

I am living close to Montreal, and it is very cold in here in winter... Still, I would not like heated seats in my new GT-500.

I don't think this car is really made for our winter anyway.

Mine will sleep in a hot place for the winter !!

Who needs heated seats around here, all guys with sports cars have then stored for the winter.
And besides, who is it that was making fun of us ( caugh, caugh, Ray), let me remind you, that we see grass here and i'm in the process of tuning my 6HP Craftman lawnmower. It has been very mild all winter long here, very unusual. Looks like the Eastern U.S is getting all the snow we usually get. So there 'ya go boy...keep on shoveling...

You boys are quite right... Saw 17 inches in one storm.. That's more than I've seen in two winters! I think the entire population of Canada lined up on the border and exhaled south! And that's why RickyD got his Vin pulled.

Actually its one button on the g8 that you push down to toggle in between the settings. Once for low, twice for medium, and three times for high. Again we shouldn't complain but we are used to having to thaw our a**** after the winter.

Respectfully,

Roger
