What day did you order?

 

I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised with my dealer after some of the horror stories told on here. My dealer emailed me yesterday to tell me that my car will get its VIN on Monday. It helps that he loves mustangs, but I didn't expect him to be proactive regarding updates to the car. Didn't expect that.

 

Sounds like a plan. Waiting for an update Monday to see if there is any change in the build date.

Well, we're "neighbors" in spirit at least.....I'm in Santa Clara,CA..next door to San Jose.

My salesman emailed me the Vehicle History for the car and it went into production on the 8th, and was in the Body Shop on the 11th. Guess it's in a hurry to get done!

 

I was told by a guy for the SVT 800# that it takes them 18 hours at full steam to build the shelby. Not sure if thats true. I would think it should be complete soon

 

Made a call today my Shelby is now built and is waiting to be shipped

 

That is exciting, can't wait to see the real deal!

 

The build date slipped to 11 June. A two week change from 28 May. Oh well, I guess 2 weeks isn't that bad. Hope to have the car before the Fall. Regards.

Either way, it will certainly be worth the wait. I'm pretty sure.

 

Just found out fri.( may11 th) that my black w/red stripes and glass roof gt500 was produced on may 9th. Status tbd (To be dated). FOR DELIVERY. Order also says n Transit. I dont know if its n transit at factory or its on the way here. Know one can tell me yet. Just Waiting! Give Deysha at customer service your info and she'll keep you updated.

 

I am jealous of all of you who either have a build date, or an already produced Shelby. I placed my (confirmed) order on 23 March and not only do I not have a build date yet, but also not even a VIN!!! And, of course, my dealer ensures me that I have their first allocation! I guess I should take comfort in the fact that some of you are seeing movement and hope that Deysha gives me some good news soon.

 

I'm in the same boat, and if it helps my dealer told me this past Friday that yesterday would be when the factory picks it up. I should have a VIN this week. If you ordered the same time, you will probably be getting one either this week or at the latest, next week. I'm expecting a build date around the 2nd week of June and a delivery by early to mid-August. That works well for me because it's another two months' worth of salary I can tuck away for the down payment.

 

Hang in there, Gunny. I'm thinking you will hear in the next week or two.

 

My gt500 was built 5-9-12 (last wed ). ON 5-11-12 (last fri) records showed TBD N Transit. Customer service told me today on the phone N Transit meant its left the plant.(todays date 5-15-12) My dealership just sent email to me that he saw the same info but the last gt500 they recieved said "SHIPPED RAIL" when it was on the way.

 

I talked to SVT guy today he said it could be 2-3 weeks till it ships because they have to fill up the train first. As of now mine is just sitting there waiting to be shipped. I can't wait to get my butt in that seat

Got my vin today on my 2013 Gt500 Performance White with black stripes, moon roof, performance pack, track pack, shaker 1000 , recaros .. the works everything ford could throw at it. Almost everything..I am hearing around middle of July it will be ready.
