Distance between stripes?

Hey guys, I'm having some 10" matte black stripes installed on Thursday. Just wondering what the actual distance is between the stripes, so my my installer gets it right.

I took out my calipers and checked my freshly delivered 2013. I took 6 measurements at various places between front and back. The distance between varied from 1.40" minimum (extreme front measurements) to 1.55" maximum (rear measurements).

I don't know if the deviation is a quality issue or intentional, because it looks great over all and isn't slightly noticeable to the naked eye. I think if you specify 1.5" you'll have a great looking result.

Come to think of it and taking another look, I'm guessing body curvature explains the variations in my measurements. Better to be perfectly flat and smooth than worried about a few mils here and there. I have no idea what the manufacturing spec calls for.

On my '13, the stripes gradually widen from front to rear. They're 10" at the tip of the nose and taper out to 10.5" at the rear edge of the hood. Roof, trunk and spoiler stripes are 11" wide. Rear bumper stripes are 11 1/4".

Those look GREAT! I'm considering adding them to my 2011 GT. I have a few questions please:
* Did you consider 12" wide stripes?
* What made you choose 10" wide?
* Did you buy the stripes yourself and take them to the installer?
* Did you finally go with 1.5" space?
* How much $...(a) stripes; and (b) install?
* How long did install take?
* What did the installer say about fading, care, future removal, etc?
Thanks!

Hey sorry for the delay,

I thought the 10" looked the best.

The installer cut them to size.

I did go 1.5" space.

$400 Installed.

The install took about six hours.

Supposedly 8 year vinyl, he said to use a detail spay to clean, condition, If they require removal in the future, I'll just replace 'em.

Hope that helps.

Update!

I fixed the white back up sensors, I painted the rear valance black, I tinted the side markers and third brake light (yes, I know it's unsafe and illegal) I installed a black billet fuel door.
