Speaking of the gas guzzler tax, has GM announced whether or not the ZL1 is exempt? If not, that would have to be considered when comparing its price to whatever Ford sets for the price of the 2013 GT500.

Funny, for every Camaro and Challenger up here there are at LEAST 5-7 Mustangs. Clearly GM is still trying to catch the Mustang in the pony war. What better way to do that than release a mission statement telling their consumers that Ford is losing the battle GM and Chrysler had already lost.

I don't hear Ford crying over the sales of the Mustang and it's performance against GM. Even by pitting the GT500 against the SuperSlow Camaro, the GT500 comes out ahead. I'll be enjoying the HP wars for awhile to come I'm sure.

As I hear, on January 17 Motor Trend is scheduled to release their test data of the ZL1. Will be interesting to read their impressions.

 

GM has already announced that the ZL1 will have the GG tax
