If we assume that the only thing that changes is temperature, because the supercharger somehow keeps the pressure constant, then as the temperature decreases the density would have to increase. This might be the case for a turbo or a Vortech supercharger. However, for a positive displacement Roots type supercharger, the amount/density of molecules is constant, so a decrease in temperature decreases the pressure instead. This result does allow for the use of a smaller supercharger pulley than would have otherwise been the case.
