I have seen a lot of grille swaps of every kind on the GT's. Some have made the Pony grille with the smaller fogs fit while others have added the Pony corral into the GT grille.
The bumper cover of the 05-09 GT's is an enhanced version of the V6 bumper with a slightly larger grille opening and differently shaped lower intake with an integrated lower lip that does not roll under. That is not as drastic a difference as the new 2010 V6 vs GT which creates totally different faces.

Unfortunately, my fabricating skills leave much to be desired to say the least.

No, more like that @$$ is just plain bad (original meaning with negative connotation). Just can't get over the treatment of the rear bumper fascia and the black plastic. Guess Ford tried to hide as much of it as possible with that angle.
Couldn't afford to photograph the rear during their photoshoots, eh? Like I said: BS...and also like I said: bet they'd show up eventually.

Of Course It's Gonna Stand Out to you, and all of the others that hate it, cause you're all so hung up on it, that all you guys can see is the Black Plastic....Never Mind the Gorgeous Car it's Attached To! Honestly besides the Hips and Side Sculpturing, the back of the 2010 is My Favorite ASSpect.

Well it seems I will be a spectator for quite a while longer. My future of picking up either gen GT500 is in indefinite hold. Like many in the country I am now out of a job. Good luck to those who pick up this great machines and take care of them. I'll be buying a low mile version of one of these from one of you in a couple years

Actually I worked for a family friend, I think it's a dead market. I'm actually looking to go back to my roots and try to get a job for what I got my degree in.... education. It's going to be a hefty pay cut but at the same time I should get more security and summers off so wish me luck on getting back into the game.

Thanks Crazyhorse
I found one but the timing isn't right now
. It happens to look just like yours it's an 07 GT500 White w/ blue stripes 1700mi for $38,000. I figure see what happens in a year or so.

His comments to the additional shots were in the total number of shots, and the additional cost to do one of every possible angle. He says the design team always wants a ton of cool shots, but they are always shot down by the marketing budget for photography, and the marketing people control how the cars are shot, and what colors/angles to shoot, not the design team. It has no correlation between anyone being fan or not a fan of a certain detail or part of the design.
I for one, love the way it looks, and not just cuz my friend works there. ( I told him the Focus was crap, he said he didn't work on it, and it was the fault of engineering screwing up the wheels and forcing them to use the old Focus glass. )
I'm not telling anyone else what to like or not, since I don't want anyone else dictating to me what I should or shouldn't like. I for one love every aspect of the 2010. V6, GT and GT-500. Yeah some angles look better than others, but again that has to do with the perspective of the person taking the picture, lighting etc.
I can't believe we've all been sitting here arguing, *****ing, and complaining for almost 4 months about this topic. If you like it Good, If You Don't, Sorry. Either don't buy it or wait for Mod's 2 show up. But for God's sake can we just get over it? It's not gonna change any time soon. This is what we were given. So many aspects of the car are improved from the previous model. Quit Yer *****in' and just Deal With It!

Very well said.

Sorry, but as an advanced amateur photographer for many years who ventures into semi-pro photography when his job requires it - and also knows a lot about motion picture CGI - I can tell you that that explanation is bunk.
With all the angle set-ups they did - some very repetitious - it belies belief that they chose to intentionally omit the back of all things, as much as it beggars belief that they couldn't afford the set-up. The technobabble he spoke of is mumbo-jumbo that means nothing. I think the word you used above, "composed" was actually supposed to be "composited" (which they do for the shots of the car in motion) and while that sort of post work costs a bit more, static shots of the rear would entail negligible cost.
Ford has caught wind of the fact people aren't reacting positively to it, and omitted it, plain and simple. I'll wager one day we see a set of shots - from the same shoot - that show the back.

I think most of those cars have obnoxious ugly asses too. To me only a couple of them are retrained enough that they are tasteful and not offensive. It doesn't matter how exotic they are, how much they cost or how big the ego of any designer is if I feel it is not attractive.
For me it's not about the use of the black plastic or creating a tasteful constrasting valance. It's how it's shaped, formed and textured. Like others have said, on the 2010 it looks to many of us like it belongs on an offroad vehicle the way it was excecuted.

For me this is tasteful and restrained. For me there is more beauty in simplicity. The designs that wear best over time never get tired on the eyes.

Wow. I always like seeing those pictures. Makes me feel like the Mustang is right up there at par with the rest of the guys! The rear has really grown on me since the first spy shots a year ago.
