Glass Roof Pros/Cons?
Depends how far over 5K... but for a functional targa style roof, possibly... I was willing to pay the difference on the 911 targa over the regular... though that was another time (pre-marriage).
If you are interested, PM me. I talked to a shop about this (in SoCal), and they seemed to think it wouldn't be a problem -- I can put you in touch with them.
(not sure if I can post a link if they aren't sponsors, and I don't think they are).
Roof
My father has one on his 2010 and he loves it, he lives in Montana and has had no complaints with it being too cold or anything else. I however, live in Las Vegas and the scenery here is almot non-existent so I passed on the roof for the 2011, and I saved $2,000....of course I put other things on it though that equaled that....
Those questions were answered in this thread

The glass roof will hold up in a crash. There was a pic in that thread but I think it no longer works.
The glass roof is covered by your insurance should it be damaged. Same policy as your windsheild on your car.
In case you didn't read my post above, I have been told you can get a wrap company to do it quite close to paint, while still keeping it unnoticeable from inside (they do graphics on windows all the time....)

But it is possible! No idea on cost...

It's hard to see, but the vinyl is perforated and somewhat translucent, which is why the interior shot looking up makes it look completely clear. It's just like "tint" for your tailights.
I would think that if you plan to track your car, and really modify it then the glass roof isn't a great idea. Especially if you modify the car, supercharge or nitrous it, and it goes over 500hp. There is a degree of flex, and metal bends slightly and twists. Glass doesn't.
I haven't seen any glass roof cars go to the track and run a 1/4 mile yet for some reason. I was just in Bradenton this year at the NMRA Ford Nationals. Hardtop or Convertible with Roll Cages. Glass Roofs are more of a luxury, driving experience, although they are nice for letting ambient light in your vehicle and on pretty days.
Another concern would be leakage. What happens if you spring a leak in a corner due to chassis flex? I don't know if it's possible on a stocker, but throw a Whipple and some boost- and let'r rip and see what happens....
I myself am still on the fence with a glass roof. I like it, but part of me doesn't. It's nice for my kids in the rear seat to look up and out- and is something different. But for taking it to the track, or if you ever roll your car- I wouldn't want a sharp piece of glass stickin in my head or through my neck...

guaranteed, unless ford make tweaks in other areas but that is doubtful.
I should also add the cg shouldn't be moved very dramatically. We're talking about a vehicle that weighs 3500lbs+. 28lbs is a drop in the bucket and wont alter the cg much
