2012 Boss 302 Specifications
Repost from the 302R thread, for further discussion and attention!
Here's what I'm hoping the package will feature:
- 302 4 cam engine upgraded to 425-450 hp and 400-420 tq. Open element filter - possible elimination of sound tube and hardware to save weight. A WMS racing type setup with a custom hood, or a cowl induction system utilizing a specific ducted engine cover would be neat.
- Available 3.55 or 3.73 axle ratio, if it is found to be a benefit.
- Unique paint scheme including constrasting hood, rear spoiler, chin spoiler, (flat black), rear louvers and 1/4 glass treatment, and Boss 302 stripe package similar to what is seen on the 302R. Make mine orange.
- Specialized 19x9 wheels (lightweight/forged) with the summer only Pirelli's.
- Brembo brakes with aggressive pads - similar to my Bullitt's spec.
- Suspension tuned and refined to further stretch the car's capabilities; 1G+ on the skidpad with the original sticky rubber
- Optional onboard chrono package, similar to what you see on today's Porsche road cars, making these cars ready to drive straight onto the open track.
- Hurst/Ford racing white ball shifter with chrome handle.
- Lightening features such as a trunk mounted battery, further use of composites and aluminum parts, ???

Here's a thread before the 5.0 was launched, so at least we have a better idea now.

Apologies for posting this again, but I'd love it to look like this....maybe with unique front and rear facias, plus a new rear wing
