in my redline i had a kicker 12" dual 2ohm cvr, 1 farad cap, 2 800w mono sony amps, mounted in a custom fiberglass box that i made....

i traded it all in with the car... even the polk momo componants up front...

i like the setup in the stang, i have the shaker 1000. it hits pretty good for stock, and i dont know if i really want to go changing the stuff out on a car i will probably own for the rest of my life

heres a pic of my old setup

Looks good Nate. I like the look of it being molded into the car of sorts.

oh yea that tube is a power capacitor. it allows your system to hit hard without the rest of the car taking a power hit. it almost acts like another battery in line with your amps. essentially it is.

i really didnt need it much as the car had a 130amp alt. from the factory... but i got sick of seeing my lights dim even the slightest....

Am I the only other local guy that's an audio freak as well? I'm now to the sealed-encloser dual-10 setup (for ultimate HIT, but zero distortion), but used to LOVE the ported dual 12's (Yes, I sometimes listened to that eardrum banging, hearing ruining, neighborhood anoying BASS

Awesome that someone else is hooking some tuneage up. I am hookin up my dual-10 Kickers with the Infinity amp. It's definitely NOT go-fast conducive, as it's another 100+ lbs in the trunk. But at least it's over the rear wheels, so maybe I'll get better traction?

And to anyone that has the 1000, either keep it, or get rid of it, do NOT add to it. If you have the 1000 and like the bass, keep it and stick with that. If you want more, get rid of it altogether, b/c it's cheap factory parts that are severly inferior to aftermarket.

The 500 is a great baseline, and adding an amp and sub(s) is a great option. But if you already have the 1000 (as my friend does), then either keep it, or get rid of it and do it right - don't just add to it, as it's a waste of space if you're going to do it right.

luckily I had the shaker 500 they huh? Its a great addition to what i have. I believe with the sub-box-amp-wireing its at around 44lbs added. Definitely going to take it out for the drag strip. Still need to look into a deck...love that navigation

Maybe I'm a purest. I love music of all kinds. However, In the car, I like to hear to motor. It's hard to get true good sound when in a car. You have exhaust, road noise, etc. to deal with. I have my home system in which I dumped plenty into to satify my audio needs.

"IF"

I can't even keep from scuffing up the chin spoiler, I doubt I'm up to installing a new exhaust, unless........ I tear it off when I bottom out somewhere.
