Someone also said that I might need a converter to connect to the rear speakers... how will I know if I need one?

I did a little research for you. That amp appears to come w/ the converter so you should have all you need.

High-to-Low Level Converter: The amp is equipped with an external high (speaker) level to low (line) level converter to allow you to connect the amplifier to a receiver or factory radio without RCA preamp outputs. After splicing the receiver's speaker wires to the converter's speaker wires, you can simply plug the converter into the amp's RCA preamp input.

I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to tap the rear speakers, hook up the converter, and be good to go. Without seeing the converter, you may need a short set of RCA's, but it sounds like maybe you don't since it says it plugs right in.

Hey thanks!! I do appreciate it! GO FAST parts I understand.. but I am going to have to hit the books on the audio. There are so many things I can do to this car for sound quality, its kind of daunting when you think about it. Me and electronics... who would have thought. Now I just need to not electricute myself and we are good to go Thanks again!

Well ladies and gents... Finally got everything hooked up and the sub is a thumpin!! I am not too familiar with out to adjust it here and adjust it there... there are dials and widgets to tinker with. It thumps pretty good I am happy with it. Although I have found a new problem...which I probably should have seen coming , the louvers are now vibrating when the bass hits...I know DUH.. ..Going to have to figure that one out... either take them off...or pad them somehow. I really need a new headunit so that I will have more control, but what I have will do for now. Had to fun the remote wire to the fuse panel in the passenger compartment... that dang fuse cover what a PITA to get off and on..Ran power wire under the rear seats (had to tie it to a hanger and pull it through..not as easy as it is on paper... then ran it down the kick panel and out the nipple in the fender well. Found a small hole next to the battery to run the power wire to the positive terminal. Fun stuff.... had some problems with the bass not coming through, but 2 hours later.... shazzzammm .....OH and yes I am on at 3:23am Night all!!

sounds great jerbear, maybe you should stop listening to gangster rap and lean more towards the classic rock side!lol maybe that'll help with the louvers shaking....or you just have too much bass on...can you not adjust it from your dash unit?

Found out I had my gain turned more than halfway down haha... turned her up and my ear drumbs popped with the bass haha....ok turned it back down... I dont like a lot of bass... just like it to hit cleanly...done like the glass rattling or my mirror distorting. Anyways... I love the new setup and the music sounds great!! Now I need to replace the headunit...maybe I can convince Jeff to sell me his for a dollar or two

Its not a noise maker...its a strategic voice coil girl attention grabber. Bass at a certain time with a certain song will attract almost any girl (notice I said girl, this doesnt work on older women) to the car. For example the sonic drive in girl last night... ****ed cassie off. She was like cool car and the I love the bass, is that your amp control between your legs... I was like HUH?? Say what!!?? my reply was excuse me...she replies with "the little blue neon light down there, isnt that your bass control?" I said laughingly yeah and thanked her. kinda funny had to be there

So is that how you describe it? "The little blue thing between your legs."
