Oh David... You should have gone. One of our DMs on the boat was a hottie! Rocking body and an awesome personality! She was French Canadian and had an accent to kill for. One of those rare natural beauties that didn't need any makeup. She lived on the island for the past 3 years. She had a great broadcasting job and gave it all up because she didn't want to wear shoes to work. Tempting idea...
I want to move to an island!
Did you happen to give her my number?
Oh... The airlines. On our way home, the Utila to Honduras leg... they spent 30 mins trying to rearrange all the luggage to get it to fit. All the luggage goes in the rear. Now I know a few things about weight and balance in regards to aircraft. I also know dive gear is friggin heavy... It weighs a tad more than t-shirts and shorts... Picture 20+ large bags of dive gear each weighing 50 pounds each stacked (read: crammed) in the tail of the plane. Other luggage was shoved in every other crack or hole availiable on plane. Not to mention every seat was full. You get the picture...
With the pilot out there shacking his head, I went up and asked him, "Do you think it's too heavy to get off the ground?". He actually looked at me and gave me the stupid little laugh you only hear in the movies. You know the one... It said, "This is Central America ya gringo. We have no stupid rules!"
They even attached a prop or jack type thing to the rear of the plane while loading all the luggage in case it got to heavy in back, the plane would tip, lifting the front end in the air and damage the tail section. No ****... We we're WAY over weight. It took the whole runway to get airbourne. I really thought we were going end up in the ocean which was right at the end of the runway.
Keep in mind, I've traveled all over the world and am not nervous about flying at all. But... this flight scared the crap of me...
OH! Not too mention... Right before we got on the flight Sherly (The lady from the resort) was telling us that an Air Roatan Flight crashed the day before. Roatan is the island right next to Utila...

I can see why they propped the tail of the aircraft. I gather nobody had boarded yet so weight & balance would be tail heavy until passengers were seated. Extremely tail heavy aircraft tend to have bad flight characteristics.(Nose up, airpseed drops, you stall)
Still, you never know about those outfits?? Glad you made it home safe....

No number and since my camera flooded the 2nd day I only got one of Isbella and it's underwater. I'll be getting other pics from the other guys soon. She's saying "HI DAVID!"
Hello Isabella! Woo Hoo!
Hey Paul I meant to ask you do they make RX masks? Since i'm sure the pressure wouldn't be too kind on contacts and obviously glasses are out? I guess I need to get some if I am to try diving this summer.
Yes they do. You really don't want to wear contacts in Salt water. You can buy your mask and then order lenses that go on the inside. Very common.
It could be just like lord of the flies!
Paul you need to Pm me a list of equipment that I will need to get. A list of what I can borrow and a list of what I can steal. LOL I will start now and hopefully by summer I will be ready to hit the water so to speak.
The next trip in Oct... It's a liveaboard. Island hopping... We're renting the whole boat... Liveaboards are great.

Go hear and start researching... http://www.leisurepro.com/ The best prices around...
You'll have many questions... I'll help you with any questions. More than happy too.
Mainly I just want to know what the best for the money equipment would be. Don't want to go crazy but I don't want to buy again over and over because the stuff is junk/disposable.
Yep. Delicate balance. Probably best to sit down over a few drinks and a good cigar and go through it.
I would start here. http://www.leisurepro.com/Prod/Categ...EM5.html?Hit=1
Getting ready to order one. It's a great wetsuit for the price. It's a 5mm but you want to be warm and comfy. You tend to lose a lot or your core heat after a few dives. It's also made from super stretch material. It makes it easy to get on and off. Trust me! You want that!

Does it hide your chubby if you dive with a hot moma like isabella? LOL
Ok so we're up to 380 bucks. Do you think for a grand you can have everything but the tanks?
I also have some stuff you have use and probably have.
