Hate to bust your bubble but he is getting a dyno and is now an sct dealer also. I dont get people the guy used to sell paint for a living and then dicides to be a car tuner and what not. Tell me if Im wrong but would you not want stuff worked on by someone that has 14 plus years working on vehicles and has certifications out the rear?

Also guys have you ever seen any of these tuners out at the track running?

What does a tuner being at the drag strip have to do with anything? Most tuners are full time and have customer cars that are more important and, should rightly so, come first.

Reason why tuners should have there own cars out at the track is to back up there buisness. Look at Ed Wright. You say the customer comes first then where is your car? Oh I forgot Disney World was more important this week.

Well I can see where real time data could be more than helpful when tuning. Dyno numbers are only good to a point. For the average driver the dyno tune or canned tune is more than adequate. For the racer however tuning for track conditions could give you the edge you need to win or be very consistant. I think it would be an advantage for a tuner to be at the track to see the results of the tuning in a real world scenerio. It would also help in the business aspect by being more in touch with the community that you are serving.

I understand and agree but what about tuners having families and those priorities? Tuners have customers that race that give them feedback on what they need and don't need or want.

Well I'm not saying that they need to live at the track, but visiting from time to time could be helpful. If I were in the business I would definately be very hands on. But thats just me. I would have a car at the track at least once a month to promote my business.
