Yes, I think Wayne has mentioned he ran 11.95@119 or something close/w Drag Radials. Thats a 13:1 440 roller motor with stock exhaust manifolds. Its for sale $74,000.... He was the guy that painted my Purple GTX. He lives here in Owasso and helps run Smothers Transmissions, a family business.

Ive been working Saturdays and have a few medical issues I'm working thru so I'm sort of out of commission for awhile.

Tip for new bees at drag racing never ever ever ever go into 2nd gear @ 112 mph, I have a hole in the drivers seat and leather and cotton in my but.

 

It's a nice car! What's funny is that those big old mopars weigh less than our modern day stangs due to all the safety stuff. which is a good thing!

Medical issues? Anything the club can do? We do have a Doc on staff.

Thanks for the concerns. I'm going in tuesday for more tests and again a week from monday for more tests. Trying to isolate why I have Hematuria. Thats just one diagnosis. There is another thats being treated right now. Well see how that treatment is going tuesday.

Been there done that. Not at 112 though. Did you really blow somthing up into the drivers seat or did the driver blow somthing out into the drivers seat after the second gear mishap? I am thinking of doing the torque limiters to eliminate the engine movement that I think is the cause for the shifter to want to go into second rather than fourth.

 

Did it too! 4th sucks in these cars. Best to pull it off to the right and back instead of straight back. Tried it yesterday. Worked great!

 

A hole got sucked into the seat. The car almost went over the center line of the track from what I was told. Scary ride thats for sure and I ran a 12.64 on that pass.

What exactly happened? I'm no sure I understand what you are saying Greg...Did a synchro explode into the passenger compartment?

 

No... He hit 2nd gear instead of 4th while running down the track. Pretty common in these cars.
