Baseline run: '06 Mustang GT convertible, stock except for Hurst shifter.

Last winter (dec 05-Jan 06), I had built a spreadsheet with dyno #s from this thread. I just finished updating it and added some more info from other TMS threads. Not all incompassing, but it is a handy tool for looking at:
1. Various stock dyno #s (including averages) 2. Seeing the dyno changes for a TMS member as they add more mods 3. Seeing how various mods effect the dyno #s. 4. Worksheet labeled "superchargers" has #s and sources for various mustang superchargers. 5. Click on a members' name to go the the source of the info. Note that you can filter the selections on the top line. For example, on the 1st worksheet, if you just want to see all the 4.6L, manual, stocks, on a dynojet, you just select those options. I'll also post this in another thread so that it has more visibility. |
AFBlue that's some impressive work!!! It's exactly the sort of thing I would do.
The only thing that bothers me is that some people may be posting raw numbers or STD corrected numbers instead of SAE corrected numbers (here's one example). The printout I got from my baseline run said I was making 281 hp/308 tq. :banana: I nearly jumped over the counter and kissed the guy until I realized he'd printed out uncorrected numbers. :doh: |
Yeah, I didn't religiously do it, but when I saw someone post "SAE corrected", I tried to put it in the notes column. Also checking the associated link sometimes will tell you whether it was SAE corrected.

I'm impressed! That is quite a nice spreadsheet, and very handy for comparing numbers.
I'm in the top 20 for HP. Not bad for a V6. Wait until Rygen gets his DynoJet numbers, though..... I think we'll all be floored.

It's very difficult to compare uncorrected numbers because of the weather differences. They would be much lower if done when it's 80 degrees vs, say, 50. Dave |
My car was dynoed in high humidity, pretty hot weather. Is there any way you can calculate SAE numbers?
Also,I think the gears make it lower since the engine is using more hp to mantain the several hundred higher rpm's that the gears cause.:dunno: |
The dyno calculates both uncorrected and SAE corrected numbers. I only have the graph and "spreadsheet" SAE numbers, I didn't ask for the non-corrected numbers. I'm surprised you have the uncorrected nnumbers, that seems odd that your dyno guy would give you those. There's no way (as far a I know) to extrapolate one type from the other. It's based on temp, humidty, and baro pressure.

New dyno #s. I haven't scanned the sheet yet.
Mustang Dyno Temp: ~90* humidity: ~60% VERY rich tune, <= 11:1 But anyway: 311 rwhp 330 rwtq Mods: C&L Racer CAI Steeda UDPs Steeda CMCV DPs ARH LT headers, catted H-pipe 93 oct Race tune from TillmanSpeed I leaned it out a couple of times b/t runs and gained 6rwhp and 7rwtq, so there some more playing w/ A/F ratio to do there. A/F was still below 12:1 |

I finally scaned the sheets. Turns out my max tq was a little higher than I originally posted above:
