Oh man if you only knew what I've been dealing with. They told me it'd be in monday...no word. I call monday night they return the call tuesday and tell me they found a leak in the master cylinder which they replaced. Wednesday comes and goes and they finally return my 4th call to tell me the part won't be in till next week! All the while they were going to leave my car in a parking garage and let me pay $5 a day for a loaner Focus! All the while I'm constantly reminding them that I need the car for out of state travel for the weekend and that I have business travel the next week, etc. What the hell?! I'm done with that dealer as soon as I can get a second means of transportation for when the car goes back in the shop. Because it will. Sad to say it again...its a Ford after all.

Finally after two weeks I got the car back and thanks to the rain overnight I know its fixed! They replaced the plastic cowl panel at the base of the windshield.

Well I had a weird electrical glitch last night on my 08. The fog lights/tail lights were on. They turned on/off about 4 times. I opened the door and saw that the fog light led was lit up. Not sure if it just got stuck on, but the only way the fogs turn on is with power to the car.

I read all the leak threads...Took a few pics. I cant find any dampness anywhere in the car, and it sat out in the rain all last night.

Weird. Did you try opening the fuse cover and looking for condensation? Try seeing if your underhood fuse box is wet too. It's unlikely but some water could have splashed that high up if you ran through a really deep puddle. It did that to me once.

My car poured several cups of water out from under the passenger side dash after Christmas - took it in and they said a drainage pipe on the passenger side had gotten clogged up and it backed up into the cabin air intake and casued it to keak inside the car. I haven't gone out to see where this drain hole is so I can make sure it doesn't get clogged up again.

Just got water soaked carpet on the passenger side. Car is 2 years old and first I ever noticed. Its in the dealers now and the tech says it hasn`t been a long term problem and he traced it to bad weather stripping. Its being dried out and waiting for parts to fix.

I took my car through a touchless carwash tonight and my passenger side puddled up with water. Will Ford cover this even if the car is 3K miles out of warranty? The fuse panel and other electronics are in that area, which can pose a safety issue.

I keep checking mine for leaks and havent felt any dampness, nor have I seen any drips behind the kick panel.

Anyone notice this more, if their car is parked level, vs incline, while raining?

A respectable dealer would cover this, if not ask for the district representative.

I'm thinking I'd better get this checked out, even though the car never sees rain. What happens a couple years down the road and I'm out of warranty, and I get stuck in a rainstorm?

Ford has some work bulletins concerning known areas to look for, and after 2 visits mine is good to go. Both times weather stripping was the culprit with improper installation at the factory.

Well, after finding water in my passenger floor for the 3rd time, it was time to find the problem. A friend and I removed the seats and carpet first (so the carpet could dry out), and then removed the cowl panel. Below and just to the left of the cabin air filter, is a drain plug. We pulled it out and it was full of what seemed to be rotten leaves. We put the drain back in and ran a hose into the area. The water came out with no problems. We then put a rag into the drain plug and proceeded to fill up the area with water again. As soon as the water level got to the bottom of the cabin air filter, water came pouring out from under the dashboard. I am now waiting for the carpet and some foam padding to dry out before we put everything back together. Hopefully this was the fix.
