Weird Tire noise...

So it call started today while I was leaving from work about an hour ago. I picked up on this weird, almost throbbing noise which sounds like it is coming from my front passenger tire, but it could be both. I am not sure.

It started to rain a few minutes before I left from work. The the rain just be the culprit on the tire?

I think I would have heard this noise long ago if it had always done it? At first I thought I had low air, but the TPMS didn't appear so I knew it wasn't that. I checked all the tires and they seem to look fine when I put it away in my garage.

I could hear it when I would let off the gas and just cruise. When I stepped on the gas I couldn't hear it as much because I heard the exhaust covering it up, but I could still hear it was doing it.

I also thought it might of been the road I was on, but it did it on the whole way home.

Weird, huh?

Not that weird, mine's doing the exact same thing, on the passenger side too. Seemed like it came out of nowhere, it's like a low frequency hum that modulates. It's been at the shop all day - they heard it too but so far can't figure out what's causing it

How do you tell if there is a bad belt in a tire?

Well at least I am not the only one. I will find out for sure on Monday when I go to work.

I will double check to make sure nothing is in the grooves of the tire like a small rock or anything like that.

Got my car back yesterday - they couldn't figure out the source and want me to go to a shop that specializes in front end problems

Weird. I've had my '05 for 32,000 miles and never once had to take it to the dealer or repair shop. In the last 10 weeks or so I've been to the dealer/repair shop 9 times, one thing after the other, some things 2 or 3 times and still not fixed

I think I'm just going to forget it and order my 2008 next week. And start over

Been driving it 2 days now since my return from vacation and have noticed it hasnt been doing it. I guess, the rain on the tread had something to do with it.

Oh well, good luck with your problem! Hopefully you get it fixed.
