TSB for window felt?

Since the 08s now have a felt piece instead of rubber in the wiper channel will Ford replace these on 05-07s? I had my windows tinted against my better judgment w/o installing moleskins and the tinting is now scratched.

I wish but according to the service manager where I bought my car, there is no TSB out regarding this and just like the day I bought it, window tint is not covered unless the dealer installed it and stated it would be covered. I need to get my windows retinted this year so I will see if these new pieces with moleskin will fit the 05 and buy them.

I read on another forum that the 08 door/window strip with felt will fit on 05 - 07 Mustangs. I got a set but did not get around to installing them yet on my 06 as she is packed away in the garage for the winter behind a bunch of other stuff.

You just need to be sure to order the '08 specific part number because FORD did not replace the 05-07 part number. If you just go in and say you need new window strips for your 05, you'll get the old stuff without the felt.

When I went in for the recall on the ps airbag, I asked about this. I was told they would fit, and they gave me 4 part numbers for the weatherstripping. ***original 4 #s posted were wrong!

qwikcobra caught the dealer error on part #s i first posted. I called two area dealers, and they gave me these new #s.
8R3Z-6321456-A passenger side
8R3Z-6321457-A driver's side
one dealer had price of $28.72 ps, $31.90 ds
other dealer price was $34.46 ps, $38.28 ds

The last 2 dealers I called could not verify the parts would fit the 05. (techs were out to lunch) Thanks qwikcobra, sorry for the wrong info posted.

I was just told they are not interchangeable.I emailed Ford. Ford emailed me and gave me a # to call. A rep called my dealer, while I was on hold, and asked them to call the Ford parts assistance line. I was told my dealer would contact me. The parts manager from my dealer called me and said they were told NOT interchangeable. The person they talked to wanted to know why I wolud want to change it out from 05 to 08. They had never heard of this problem. I mentioned that more than a few of us have this issue. My parts manager said she has a website for techs she uses. She is going to post this problem and try to see how widespread it is. She was extremely polite and helpful. She said they just have no way of knowing how widespread it is without people calling in. Maybe polite phone calls from all of us could help solve this.

found this tonight on CJ pony parts, thought it might be another solution.

Improved driver/passenger side inner beltline trim for all 2005-2008 Mustangs.
The factory beltline trim has a tendency to scratch your window especially if you have tinted your windows. With felt bonded to this trim piece scratched window tint will be a thing of the past! No need to add moleskin to your existing weatherstrip.

DRIVER/PASSENGER SIDE IMPROVED INNER BELTLINE TRIM $34.00 each.
