Problem with window?

Well, here in Ohio this morning the temperature was 12 degrees when I left for work. I had ice on my windshield and back window, but I noticed it was dripping on my dash. All of the ice from the back window and windshield were actually inside my car. I know the doors were shut all the way. However, I hit the button to make sure the window was up all the way, and it went up a tad. I did not roll the window down recently, but I think it's been like this before. You all know how the window drops a bit when you open the door and then goes back up, but I'm not sure mine always goes back up all the way. I've noticed wind noise before when my windows are up, and I press the button and it sounds like it goes up a little bit. Anyone else had this problem?

Believe it or not, I actually did a search before posting, but didn't know exactly what to search for and found nothing. But I did just find a post a little further down on the page, and it talks about recalibrating the short drop or whatever, so I will try that.

Andy, I went out this morning after working all night here in Indiana. Same weather last night I suppose you got over there. My car was out in the parking lot and Ice was built up on it. I have never had a problem but this morning it wouldn't go down when I opened the door. Then when it did, it stuck there. I had to push the up button after I got going and it slowly went back to the top.
I have had it go all the way down though for no reason or if I just flick the "up" button and its real close to the top anyway. Mine is still programmed with the Global feature though. That might have something to do with it.

What part of Ohio? I was frozen shut this morning. I don't know exactly what happened in your case, but with the temperature going from 50 to 20 in about 45 minutes, I wouldn't be surprised if some condensation froze on the inside of the glass... especially if you've been in the car recently w/ snowy or wet shoes on the floor mats.
But yes, you can recalibrate the windows... hope that solves your problem. Otherwise you could always do yourself a favor and move to Florida.

I'm in Dayton, Ohio. I don't think it was the window. Anyway, I called the dealer and he said the same thing about the big temperature drop, and that it could cause condensation inside the car. This morning, I had some ice at the bottom inside of the back window, but that could be from yesterday still. The rest of the ice was outside of the window, which is a lot better than yesterday! I put a towel over the rear speakers so water doesn't get in them since they are right under the back window. Thanks for the replies. This is a very helpful site!

The window recalibration instructions are in your owners manual. Several factors can cause the windows to become uncalibrated. Your battery starting to go south is one example.
