Power window calibration?

Power window calibration?

Is there such a thing? Guys help,

I recently installed a PIE FRD04-AUX adaptor in my 2005 mustang and it killed my battery, later I found out it may be the SW version in the PIE AUX adaptor unit , apparently PIE is are aware of this and are sending a new one out to me...
(don’t they verify there stuff before sending out the field)

Now the battery is charged back up and all is well or at least I thought so, my power windows will not go up when I shut the door, that is, if they are all the way up and the door is opened it drops like it normally would about ¼” or so, then when you shut the door the windows stay down and don’t return up WTF. In addition, I noticed that the windows go down more than before and kinda bang, or bottom out quite hard when you put them all the way down. I thought I read somewhere about calibrating the windows to control how far they go down and up? Help…

My 10 yr old son now 11 yrs whipped out the manual from the glove box read as I was driving and fixed it, So we all at times get lazy and don't read the book , I'm surprised it was in there. seems to happen when a battery cable is disconnected.

You have to be very cautious with a coupe if they get stuck all the way up, it can hit the hard moulding and yank the side mirros loose.

That's for sure when it first happened I thought that it was going to pop out the window when I tried to close the door, so if the window is all the way up don't force it, who knows it may not be covered, so get out the book, or sit in seat roll down then pull toggle up & hold for 2-3 seconds and should be good. Yup Kids are great they are such a HUGE source of inspiration, and they don't miss a thing they see & record all we do and only better it!
