Master Cylinder leaking?
Hmmmm been a while since I've been here... forums are re-arranged...
Anyway, I'm looking for info (possibaly a TSB) about leaks from the cap of master cylinder's on 05+ Mustangs (mine is an 07). I'm taking the car in for its 5k oil change next week, and plan on letting Service take a look at the leak (since its under warantee). Thanks!

Some claim that it is because the top of the reservoir is not flat, thus the gasket cannot seal properly. I found that the gasket in the cap isn't thick enough. I can hear it rattling around when I shake the cap.
Wrapping the neck of the reservoir with Teflon tape (plumbers tape) about 2-4 times will be a good temporary fix.
And as you have found out, it is still a problem with 2007s (even the ones that are currently rolling out of Flat Rock). Ford is ignoring the problem just like the smart junction boxes that are shorting out from water leaking in.

Thanks for the tip. I'm not sure where glycol based products fit though. I use teflon plumber's tape for ECT/coolant temp senders that thread into the coolant crossovers without any problems. Since anti-freeze is 50% ethylene glycol, I'm sure regular plumber's tape won't have a problem with periodic exposure to 100% glycol based brake fluid.
The yellow is for gas line connections (as in natural gas):
The yellow tape is heavier and is for use on gas line connections. Never use regular, white, teflon tape on gas connections.

I've seen a thicker pink tape before but I'm not sure what it is used for.
