What are the lemon laws like in Indiana? Might want to look into it. 3 times for the same problem with no resolution... smells lemony to me!

the problem is that the car is over 2 years old now. You have to start lemon law proceedings before 1.5 years. So I'm taking it to another dealer tomorrow, and maybe they will be better to me.

Just be calm, cool and collected and see if you can't have them go down the route of replacing the filler neck. Good luck Joe

Actually, it looks like I might be trading it in, on a minivan. It pains me to say it, but I think it may be the right thing to do. My wife has been wanting one anyway, and this would end up getting rid of a car payment.

I do have the '66 coupe and a 113ci Star Roadliner motorcycle to meet my manly requirements. Heck, the motorcycle makes my GT slow anyway. It kills me to do it, but I think it's the best option for me at this point. We'll see. Ford can shove it.

gas tank issues

SO today it took me 20 min to fill my tank. Why do we all deal with this issue.
Everyone needs to call ford or e-mail ford about this problem. If there was a problem with the electrical line to your house would you let the electric company get away with the same answere that Ford gives everyone deal with it. There is no problem. No we would not. I have had my car for 15 mo and all I fhave had is problems when putting in gas. Even two dealers have had a problem when they went to put gas in it. At this point I am ready to just run out of gas on the road all the time and then call the roadside service I have and tell them it is because I could not fill the tank enough to go to work as it is a 50 mile drive.

I have run into this issue when I go to a local Sunoco station, but it only happens at that one station. I go to any other station and have no problems. Could it be the type of gasoline nozzles used to fill the car? It seems like it should happen everywhere if it was a car problem. JMO

I just got mine out of the shop w/ a new tank. I started pumping and NO problems... what a relief. Then CLICK - 9 gallons, and it wouldn't take another drop. 1/2 tank.

I've seen a link where a magazine took the tank off and replaced some kind of filter or vent... does anyone know where that article is at???

OK, 3 posts in a row and I might be talking to myself...

Does anyone know if I can run to Auto Zone and replace that filler neck w/ a piece of 3/4" hose, etc?
It looks like there's some kind of valve, etc on the way in... what is it and can it be removed?

The line runs under the frame rail and back up to the tank creating a plumbing 'trap'. Is this normal on other cars?

I know that this is probably all covered in past threads - so sorry.

How does the fuel move from the driver's side of the tank to the passenger side?
