Fixing plastic..?
Fixing plastic..?
If anyone can give my any tips on this, it would be greatly appreciated.
I was taking the driver's side door apart to test fit a new speaker and the pry tool slipped and chewed up the plastic on the main door panel. Does anyone know how to lessen the appearance of the light grey chewed plastic? I really don't want to have to buy a whole new door panel (especially with the leather insert) but I can't stand this mark!
Again, any help= endless appreciation....

It isn't going to be easy to fix, but you could smooth over the area carefully with some 600 grit sandpaper to knock down the edges trying not to go outside the damaged area. Then try some plastic cleaner like Meguiers or some other brand to polish out the scratches left by the sandpaper. I did this to my airbag cover on my Honda after I left a long scratch in it hauling some metal. You'd have to look pretty hard to see the mark. Also, some mobile paint repair places can airbrush over the scratches in plastic with dye and make them look better. I had this done on my '96 Trans AM
