May 2007... My 2005 GT just started doing same thing. Drops to empty after four miles of driving, Stays there. I tried hitting bumps, sway car, going up & down hills, filling tank, nothing but stopping and shutting motor off has helped.. Now check engine light is on. Gauge will come up to normal after it sits a while but needle flucuates a 1/8 of a tank up and down. Always had Chevron so Tectron isn't answer. Some web sites say both computer wires have to be relaced left and right side to tank???????

is the car running when you fill up? I have had the same problem with both sdtangs and my truck if it was running when I filled up.

I've noticed the same thing if the ignition was still on even if the car was not running.

The best thing to do is just turn the key completely to "Off" and then when you restart the car, it should go back up to "Full" right away - mine does.

Yea why bother, just take it in to get fixed

When fueling, never fill modern vehicles with the key in the on position, running or not. All manuals from all makers will say not to do it.
