FRPP Supercharger & Warranty

Ok, can some one clear this issue up for me? I was under the impression that if a Ford dealer installs your FRPP blower that you retain the factory warranty. Is this correct?

I heard that it only covers the FRPP S/C warranty.. You lose the FORD drivetrain warranty because of the mod?? True or false??

Yeah, that's what I want to know. If that is the case then I would just prefer that my local Mustang tuner do the install since he is very experienced and a genuinely nice guy.

I wouldn't let the Ford dealer do it because they rape you on the installation charges and they probably ship your ECU back to Ford for calibration. Buy the kit and have a knowlegable speed shop install it and tune the car for max performance. Be sure and get the C.A.R.B. sticker though!

I think it belongs to the alarm system.

I've been down this road with my stealership....and I asked the Service manager very specific questions, and he responded that the SC doesn't void the warranty, but if any engine/tranny parts break because of the SC, then they're not covered....so in other words IT DOES essentially void the warranty on your engine, and possibly your tranny too.

Could it be the fuel shut-off?

No need for that in the Dirty South. At least not in my area. I could run ITBs with open headers down here, LOL.
