Question Driver's Side Mirror Loose

The driver's side power mirror is loose and needs to be tightened.

I brought this up during my dealer visit for an oil change today and they said it would take a few hours to tighten because the entire door panel must be removed. Is this accurate? Has anyone had to tighten a loose mirror on their 2005?
Thanks.

They are full of it,Tuscon. If you pop off the mirror cover inside the door there are 3 nuts that you can see to tighten. They shouldnt be loose though. Its a 10 minute jod to do BOTH sides...

07 Hoss: Thanks. I wondered about that. Does the **** for adjusting the mirror just pull off then that cover justs pulls off?

The triangle cover is not part of the door panel, just gently pry away from the door itself and make your needed adjustments.

My mirror housing is on fine, but the mirror itself is loose - ie I can move it with my finger and light pressure. Will these bolts tighten that up?

I had, basically, the same issue. I was washing the car and felt the housing move. I removed the inner cover and checked the bolts. They were tight, but the housing was still loose. I showed this to the tech when I took her in the an oil/filter change. They checked it and found two support pieces (?) inside the mirror itself were broken. This caused the whole housing to move and appear loose. Since there was no indication of damage on my part (i.e. the outside of the mirror was pristine),the mirror was replaced under warranty.

Same with mine! Loose, took it in, they took the mirror off and pieces were broken so they replaced under warranty.
