They sell these 3 packs of wire welding brushes at the auto parts stores. A brass one, a steel one, and a plastic one. The plastic one is the one used for the crevices.

Past that, just a really stiff plastic brush and/or some red scotchbrite to get it cleaned up.

The three pack I'm talking about: http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/a...archTerm=brush

And the stiff nylon brush:
http://www.homedepot.com/p/HDX-Iron-...DXRM/204357208

Similar to that.

Might also try a hand/nail brush. Anything that'll be real stiff.

Be careful, you won't want to mar the pebble of the panel itself, so you might wanna tape off the door panel where you want to protect it. Use something *good*, because blue tape won't stick, green tape *hella* won't. Regular masking tape might, but it might not. So be aware of that.

Hope that helps!

I had to glue these inserts on my nephew's '07 GT on both doors. Door panel removal wasn't hard...then glue, let it set, and reinstall the door panel. I looked up door panel removal on YouTube just to make sure I had all of the bolts/screws out prior to pulling the panel off.

Nope. Out of warranty, so sorry, perhaps you'd like to have a look at our totally redesigned from the ground up 2015 or 2016 Mustang?
- Ford people.

Well there will always be something on every car

I'm guessing that those little plastic toggle switches on the newer cars will break in about 5 years or so.

After owning Ford's all my life and then seeing what others have to offer I'm good

The same thing happened to me. $150 is a rip off. I live in Florida too, and I was quoted $35 each door to fix it or $90 total for both doors to replace the door panels with new vinyl. Unfortunately, my auto body guy cut one of the panels when I asked him to fix it thinking he'd just glue it back on so now I need to buy new material or it's not going to look right on that side. The upholstery guy told me that lots of mustangs have this problem and that they discontinued that particular material. I have an '06 vert. Has anyone else heard that it was discontinued?

I just recently fixed mine using the steps outlined here: http://www.s197forum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=581096

EDIT: Imatk linked the same how-to, but I wanted to re-link because it works. And you spend less than $10.

Follow it to the letter (no door panel removal necessary) and the inserts will look practically brand new. You can only tell if you look at it in direct sunlight because the surface underneath will be a bit uneven after rubbing off the disintegrated padding. And trust me, that Weldwood Contact Cement is very sticky, so take your time because you won't get a 2nd chance with that stuff. But that insert won't come off again!

Welcome to the forum!

And yes, Ford really. They're not the only ones. Even BMWs have saggy head liners, Corvettes have bits and pieces fall off... no car's perfect. And they don't expect you to keep them forever, after all, you're supposed to buy a new one here and there... https://themustangsource.com/forums/...4/#post6983109

Three and a half years later (five and a half overall) and no further sagging or peeling. Knock wood!
