Door panel insert coming loose on my 14GT.
Last Tuesday when I went to get in my car to go to work, the sun was hitting my door panel insert just right and it looked kind of wavy in one area. It was slightly buckled up at the top in the forward corner. I could push it back in.
I stopped at the dealer on the way to work and let them look at it. The SA took down my car info and took pictures. I've not heard anything back yet.
Has anyone else had this kind of problem on the newer cars? I've read that the 05-09 cars had some door panel issues but not the 10-14 ones. Thanks.

I live in MO which gets pretty hot but the car stays in the shade under a carport when not in use. It does sit out in the sun all day when I drive it to work which is not that often but I use a windshield shade to help keep the sun out as well as slightly cracking the windows open.
The passenger side one is fine. Must just be some bad adhesive.

Yeah, perhaps it didn't get a full spray. I think it's probably a matter of time before it happens again. It's hard to find a good adhesive that will handle the heat inside a car day after day and year after year.If it happens out of warranty, at least it's an easy fix. It's just inconvenient...and smelly.
I am going to speculate that: we know plastics give off fumes throughout their lives (where do you think that fog of junk on the inside of your windows and windscreen comes from?); if their exudation diminishes as they age, does that mean a "cured" door panel that has sat around for a few months before being equipped with the liner is less likely to need re-sticking? Can the leakage from the surface of a component reduce the effectiveness of the glue used in assembly? Could Mr Ford choose to use plastics that don't out-gas so much? I bet he could, and the difference in cost, considering testing and selection, might not be paid for by the expense of re-sticking failed bonds; or it might be the other way around.
