Cold start

When the car is started for the first time in a few hours it has this grinding noise coming from transmission maybe. After the car warms up it goes away. Any ideas?

Hi zgradt10,

My name is Andrea with Ford Customer Service. I recommend you speak to your Ford dealer about this and have it diagnosed. Your Service Manager will be in the best position to assist. He can also look at any possible warranty your vehicle may still have. If you need any further assistance, please do not hesitate to PM me.

Andrea

Hi. I have found out by people who have had the same issue. They said it is the separator plate being hit by the fly wheel. It is unfortunately not covered under warranty even though there is a tsb out for it.
